Homemade Avocado Hummus
Take your avocado toast to the next level with this creamy and flavorful spread!
Equipment
- food processor or high powered blender
Ingredients
- 1 large avocado or 2 medium avocados
- 1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans) drained and rinsed
- 4-6 cloves fresh garlic
- 1 jalapeƱo without seeds or whites(unless you prefer a very spicy hummus)
- 3 tbsp greek yogurt plain
- 3 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 tsp dill dried or fresh
- 1 1/2 tsp sea salt finely ground
- 1/4 tsp basil dried
- 2 tbsp water
- Everything Bagel Seasoning
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients(except for everything bagel seasoning) in a food processor or a high powdered blender. Blend until smooth, or to the consistency you prefer.
- Once hummus is at desired consistency, remove from food processor(or blender) and turn out into a bowl. Top hummus with everything bagel seasoning.
- Enjoy!
Notes
If you like your hummus a little bit more runny or creamy, add small amounts of water until you are at your desired consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste if you continue to add more water.Ā
